Hi Kate

Really appreciate your participation in this blog. You're doing a great job at selling the virtues of Jcurve.

Just one question you might like to clarify for our readers: To access the full integration of connecting your CRM, accounting and inventory control to a Magento website, are customers still required to pay an additional licensing fee? If so, can you give us an indication of how much that is?

Thank you, Mark

Hi Mark and all commentators on this post,

Apologies for the very delayed response in being made aware of this blog post and the negative experiences that were had in getting this customer up and running. If you do still have this customer using JCurve eCommerce and are interested in integrating with Magento I would be happy to recommend some of our digital integration partners to assist in this process or I can arrange for one of our solution specialists to provide some guidance here.

Over the past 12 months JCurve has spent significant time in reviewing and investing in the solution and our service levels after feedback was it was a tough journey to get up and running (and unfortunately the journey is still often complex and time consuming due to the power of the solution). A customer care team has been assembled to improve the customer experience including establishing a local support desk, and self-help training options including a comprehensive knowledge base that is being built up every day and using training webinars etc for continued learning. In December of last year JCurve was acquired by publically list Stratatel (rebranded to JCurve Solutions) to give JCurve the bandwidth and horsepower of a public company to further improve the solution, service and fuel growth.

We have launched a free 45 day trial of our entry level cloud accounting and payroll solution (that also includes basic inventory and basic CRM) linked to an online self-install wizard to get users up and running quickly to JCurve. Once users are comfortable with the system it becomes easier to turn on the additional functionality like CRM, eCommerce, Advanced Inventory etc. As you mention earlier it is important to scope the requirements and set the right expectations up-front.

We are doing a lot of work behind the scenes on our implementation partner program and out of this will form the basis for our certification program to support our wide network of partners when implementing the solution. Enablement is crucial and an area we are investing in.

The benefit of the solution is the limitless capabilities that it can offer, this however offers complexity and we need to remove the barriers for clients and our partner community as much as possible.

We have a large number of raving fans of JCurve who absolutely love how JCurve has transformed their business. The solution has the capability to support growing businesses and built on NetSuite means this can be the last software they will ever need. This is very compelling as the most disruptive and costly time to change technology is once the business is experiencing rapid growth.

We'd welcome the opportunity to hear any further feedback as we are very focused on driving improvements in how we get clients up and running as quickly as possible with minimal pain.

If you'd like to check out our free trial and self-install online wizard go to: www.jcurve.com.au.

best regards,

Hi Mark,
We are looking at an RFP for integrating JCurve data into a Wordpress site (hosted on a merchant site) - unfortunately, we don't have experience with the NetSuite platform. Would you be able to let us know how much effort such an integration might take given the requirements below?

Data points to be integrated are as follows:

1. Master product name
2. Master product code
3. Master product description
4. Main photograph
5. 4 thumbnail photos
6. Specific product code
7. Specific product description

This information is to flow one way, from jCurve to the WordPress site.

Would appreciate any response.

Thanks,
Xavier

Hi Mark, Thanks for the article
Very interesting read and looks like I'm heading down the same path. On reflection since writing the article and with the introduction of new web services, would you have any new recommendations for the jcurve / e-commerce solution approach? Magento is 'an' option I'll be putting to my client, however I feel Netsuite is the issue that they need to address!

I might come into this discussion a bit late, but I've read with great interest the comments and opinions on this topic.
We're currently considering a systems upgrade to JCurve (we've had the flashy livemeeting demo). Yet, the thoughts shared here have curbed the enthusiasm. Question now is: what's the alternative to a fully integrated (ERP) system like JCurve?

One option considered is a XERO set up + Inventory (TradeGecko?, Unleashed? Cin7?) + CRM (Unleashed?, Dear? others?) add-ons.

But my initial research tells me that 'integration' of these plug-ins is usually only one way. E.g. TradeGecko transmits Shopify orders to Xero, but updated customer information in Xero would not reach TG.

Key concern is that information is spread across different sources and staff will have to operate different applications . Lastly, none of these out-of-the-box solutions seem to have the ability to automatically forward sales orders / invoices to our 3PL.

Looking forward to hearing from people who have successfully implemented a "add-on" ERP solution instead of JCurve.
Thanks for sharing thoughts and experience.

Cheers,
Steffen

Hi Mark
Cheers for the article - I think more and more are becoming Xero enthusiasts!
There are companies that specialise in MYOB to Xero conversions.

Hi Greg
Great to get your comment on my blog. Thank you!
I'd welcome your call if you'd like to have a chat. 0412 854824. In particular it would be good to start out by analysing the functionalities you actually need.
For now, though, have you perhaps had a look at these guys?
http://www.vinsight.net/business/wet-tax-with-xero-and-vinsight
Depending on the size of your business, I'm thinking that combining their product with Xero and other third party functionalities could be a whole lot cheaper and easier to set up.
Cheers

I have been thinking about jCurve as a very sensible solution to running a wholesale business with duel retail and wholesale e-commerce fed from the same inventory.
I'm glad I discovered this blog....
Mark I'd love to get some advise from you as to alternate ERP solutions for a SME that needs to cater for WET tax.

I'm using Spree Commerce. Spree is an awesome 100% open source e-‐commerce platform powered by Ruby on Rails that provides a lot of features out of the box: Product management, order management, shipping and gateway configuration. Like RefineryCMS, it is a flexible and highly customizable platform that will do what you need.
